BLOCK PAVING, PATIOS & DRIVEWAYS

At Jebech we always offer a very high quality job from start to finish.  At first we dig out and stone the entire area being block paved down to 300mm - this allows us to put in 200mm hardcore or type 1,  50mm granite clippings and the 50mm block.   If you are digging up an old drive,  you may not need to go down so deep as the base will be good under your existing drive but we won’t always know that until we lift it.

We then lay the blocks on granite clippings - not sand.  The drive will then have kiln dried sand put over the top and vibration packed so the sand goes in-between blocks to provide a solid surface to drive on and we can then seal with a Resiblock. Resiblock is normally used 6 months after the drive has been done before you seal it, which allows time for the salts to come out of the blocks. 

If done too soon the blocks can go white under the sealer and will totally ruin the look.
